National Level Technical Symposium “AUTOTRONICS ’26” Conducted Successfully

  • Shivani Engineering College, Trichy, successfully organized “AUTOTRONICS ’26 – A National Level Technical Symposium” on 20 August 2026 under the auspices of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The symposium was organized with the objective of providing engineering students with a dynamic platform to enhance their technical knowledge, creativity, innovation, analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and professional competence.

  • The inaugural programme commenced with an invocation, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, marking the formal beginning of the symposium.

  • The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Dinesh Guhan, Final Year, Department of Mechanical Engineering, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, industry experts, faculty members, participating students and guests.

  • The gathering was then addressed by Er. T. S. Prabhakaran, Treasurer, Shivani Institutions, followed by the felicitation address by Dr. K. Anand, Principal, Shivani Engineering College. The proceedings continued with the address by Dr. V. Balasubramaniam, Vice Principal, who welcomed and honoured the distinguished guests.

  • The Special Address was delivered by Er. S. Vigneshwaran, Secretary, Shivani Institutions, who highlighted the importance of technical education, innovation and skill development in preparing students to meet emerging challenges in the engineering and technology sectors.

  • The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. P. Selvaraj, Chairman, Shivani Institutions, who emphasized the importance of technical symposiums in developing students’ knowledge, confidence, creativity and professional competence.

  • The Special Invitee Introduction was presented by Mr. Kabileshwaran, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, introducing the distinguished invitees and setting the stage for the technical sessions.

    Distinguished Guests and Industry Interaction

  • The symposium featured eminent industry professionals who shared valuable insights and practical perspectives with the participating students.

  • Mr. Leo Arul Joseph, B.E., Managing Director, SKL Engg, Trichy, delivered the Chief Guest Address and shared his valuable experience from the engineering and industrial sector.

  • Ms. Kiruthika Vengatesan, IT Manager, Bengaluru, also addressed the gathering and shared insights on technology, industry expectations and professional development.

  • M. Geetha, Director, Ojas Iconic Technological Pvt. Ltd., participated as the Guest of Honour and added valuable industry perspectives to the symposium.

  • The interaction with industry professionals provided students with an opportunity to understand current industry practices, emerging technologies, professional expectations and the importance of continuous skill development.

Technical Events and Student Participation

  • Following the inaugural session, the technical events of AUTOTRONICS ’26 commenced with enthusiastic participation from students.     Valedictory Ceremony

  • The valedictory session marked the successful completion of AUTOTRONICS ’26.

  • The session included the Prize Distribution Ceremony, during which the winners and outstanding participants of the various technical events were recognized and appreciated for their achievements.

  • A Student Feedback Session was also conducted, providing participants with an opportunity to share their experiences, learning outcomes and valuable suggestions regarding the symposium.

  • The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mariya Ruban Earnest, Department of Mechanical Engineering, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, dignitaries, chief guests, industry professionals, faculty members, coordinators, organizers and participating students for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the symposium.

  • The programme concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the National Level Technical Symposium to a dignified close.
