Shivani Engineering College conducted an SEC Alumni Association meeting on 5 July 2026 to discuss key initiatives for college development, followed by an inspiring alumni interaction and career guidance session for final-year students on transitioning from campus to corporate life.
SEC Alumni Association Meeting & Alumni–Student Interaction
On 05.07.2026, Shivani Engineering College organized an SEC Alumni Association Meeting in the College Board Room to discuss various important issues and initiatives for the development and progress of the institution.
During the meeting, the office bearers of the SEC Alumni Association unanimously elected Ms. Ramya, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, as the Secretary of the Alumni Association, in place of Mr. K. Raja. The college management and association members appreciated the contributions of the outgoing office bearer and welcomed the newly appointed Secretary.
Following the meeting, the Alumni Association members visited the final-year classrooms and interacted with students from all branches. The alumni shared their valuable experiences and insights on the journey from campus to corporate life.
The students received practical guidance on:
How to successfully transition from college to the corporate environment
Workplace discipline and professional ethics
Developing technical and soft skills
Adapting to company culture and responsibilities
Building a successful career and progressing to higher positions
Improving performance and earning better career opportunities and perks
The interaction provided final-year students with valuable real-world perspectives and motivated them to prepare themselves confidently for their professional careers.
The Principal, Dean, Heads of Departments, including the Head of the Department of CSE, and Mr. Ravikumar, Coordinator, were present during the discussions and student interaction.
Address to Students by the Dean
The Dean addressed the students and encouraged them to make effective use of their remaining time in college to strengthen their technical knowledge, communication skills, discipline and professional attitude. The Dean emphasized that success in the corporate world requires not only academic knowledge but also commitment, continuous learning, teamwork, discipline and a positive attitude.
The Dean advised students to learn from the experiences shared by the alumni, understand the expectations of the industry and prepare themselves to face professional challenges with confidence.
The session concluded with an encouraging message to the students to Dream Big, Learn Continuously, Maintain Discipline and Build a Successful Career.
