Voters Literacy Club Inauguration

Shivani Engineering College organized the Inauguration of the gb Voters Literacy Club on 04 March 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of voting and responsible citizenship.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. T. Manobalan, Village Administrative Officer, Ammapettai, Tiruchirappalli, who graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally launched the Voters Literacy Club. In his address, he emphasized the significance of voting in a democratic country and encouraged students to actively participate in the electoral process.

The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. V. Balasubramaniam, who highlighted the importance of youth participation in strengthening democracy and urged students to exercise their voting rights responsibly.

During the program, Ms. Monisha and Ms. Akshaya, students of the college, delivered speeches on the importance of voting and the role of young voters in shaping the future of the nation.

Following this, all the students, faculty members, and staff members took the Voter’s Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to participate in elections and to promote voter awareness in society.

The program was successfully coordinated by Mr. K. P. Ravi Kumar, Assistant Professor, who also delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the event.

The inauguration of the Voters Literacy Club served as an important initiative to promote democratic values and encourage responsible voting among the youth.
